Today, Care for Education trained a group of 20 early childhood development teachers from the Zakheni forum in learning through play using the DUPLO Play Box. They created, laughed, danced, and sang as they worked through colour sorting and grouping activities, the design-make-test process, and phonics and rhyming. They practiced their cognitive flexibility and socio-emotional skills and discussed important links between activities and the curriculum. Practitioners had meaningful conversations about transferring new knowledge to their classrooms and left the training ready to take their learners on a journey of learning through play.
