This week, an enthusiastic group of 10 practitioners from Hong Kong completed facilitators' training in learning through play using Six Bricks. After having worked through Levels 1 to 4, the practitioners returned for Level 5 this week. During the training, they practiced their facilitation skills and presented innovative activities targeting different developmental skills. They explored and discovered their facilitation styles and the importance of playful facilitation. They also considered and linked Gardner's Multiple Intelligences including linguistic, movement, perceptual, and spatial concepts to existing and new activities. They went through the design-make-test process and tried and tried again as they worked through challenging, but exciting activities. They left the training with an intensive knowledge of learning styles, as well as the skills needed to practice as facilitators of learning through play using Six Bricks.
